One Nation One Election

One Nation One Election : We the people of Indian Republic, consider the election system as an important part of the democracy. Democracy is recognized by the common election. In our country there is a constitutional system of different elections in different states at different times, apart from common election. Today, people are demanding to change this system to make country free of these repeated elections. It’s harmful to be elections every year in some state for development of country and our society etc. So here it raises a burning question that if,

Q.14: There should happen the only one “general election” in the country with all categories of election included in one, means One Nation One Election?

If yes then why, If no then why?

Intent:

A debate on this burning question is going on in all political parties. All the political parties are analyzing the question according to their own interests. This issue has come in front of the nation as a disputed issue. The vies of public will humbly present to all the parties.

It is well known that –

  1. Each election causes interruptions and latencies in governmental and developmental works.
  2. Political leaders dispute the issues in their communications.
  3. To grab the power, they create different types of confusing environments.
  4. Leaders present different types of allegations in front of society in their political interests, which are transient for them but “these issues stick in the minds of people and become an explosive in the future.”
  5. Every states has its own problems. Today, local political leaders in their political interests, to divert the attention of public from the state based problems, they connect state elections with national issues, due to which the environment of other states is also spoiled. This environment is becoming very dangerous for our social environment

In democracy election is an important part of the nation building. Are these repeated elections right for our country’s interest? Are they beneficial to the public? Nowadays every year we hear declaration of code of conduct for some state. Conducting separate elections for each state also imposes additional expenditure on the nation. All this burden falls on the public. Do we find this constitutional system right today. Think about it….

The people of the country also find their environment polluted by elections in other states through television or newspapers. Regional parties and national parties weigh issues on their own and speak on them. In today’s educated and digital age, things are getting connected to national ideology rather than regional, the effect of which becomes national rather than regional. Selfish politicians are waiting for this opportunity. They take advantage of the polluted environment and pursue their political interests. We must realize the needs to protect ourselves constitutionally from this corrupt electoral environment of today. This politics of selfishness is coloring the country’s fields with the blood of its own children. The coming era will never forgive us for giving credit to this corrupt system. Therefore, today we should look at the question whether all categories of elections in the nation should be held at the same time as the “General Elections”? So that the society can get rid of repeated expenses and blood-stained elections or “that the current constitutional system is going on, it should remain intact”. We have to think… we have to write…. we have to change…!!!  Jai Hind…Jai Bharat…
